ultramicrox began when three experienced technicians decided that rushing cars through a bay was costing owners more in comebacks than any discount ever saved them. We opened a workshop where the schedule bends to the vehicle — not the other way around.
How the Workshop Took Shape
The founders met while working at high-throughput shops across the Midwest. In Chicago, they leased a former industrial bay on South King Drive and rebuilt it around a single rule — no technician handles more than four vehicles per day. That cap was not marketing. Word spread through fleet coordinators and independent owners who cared about documentation as much as turnaround. ultramicrox never aimed to be the largest shop in the city. The goal was to become the one owners called when a problem had already survived two quick fixes somewhere else.
